In comparison to other islands in the Mediterranean, this island offers options like trekking, in the hinterland as well. The main town of Cagliari is a place popular for shopping on the island. The famous beaches on the island include Chia Beach, Costa Esmerelda, Lu Impostu, etc. The cuisine of Sardinia, to which fresh seafood and wine are integral, is a must-have when visiting the island.
